FAQ

What Repo2Launch does

Straight answers from the product. The preview is free. The full kit is $19 once.

What is Repo2Launch?

Paste a public GitHub repository URL. Repo2Launch reads the README and the files that explain the product, then writes a product summary, an X thread, a Product Hunt listing, and a landing page from one of three fixed templates: signal, paper, or terminal.

Who is it for?

People who already have a public side project on GitHub and still need the launch copy and a page. The repository stays on GitHub. Repo2Launch does not take over the codebase.

How much does it cost?

The preview is free. The full kit is $19 once, charged in Stripe Checkout as a one-time payment. It is not a subscription. The full kit adds the clean landing page, a ZIP, a deployed page when deploy is turned on, and two regenerations.

What is in the ZIP?

Three files: index.html, vercel.json, and LAUNCH.md. The markdown file includes the X thread and the Product Hunt name, tagline, description, first comment, and topics. vercel.json sets the page to text/html.

How long does a kit take?

The kit page checks the job about once a second until it is ready or failed. There is no fixed timer. If a step fails, the job is tried up to three times. It waits 30 seconds before the second try and 60 seconds before the third. After the third failure it stops.

Can I use a private repository?

No. Private repositories are refused. Archived repositories and empty repositories are refused too. A repository GitHub cannot find is reported as not found.

When is the $19 refunded?

If the paid landing page fails to deploy three times, Repo2Launch refunds the $19 charge and sends an email. That refund does not need a ticket. A Stripe dispute or a refund takes the public page down.
